Valle, Book 2 in the Heku Series, continues to follow Chevalier and Emily. With a new Winchester on the way, things heat up and the Valle strengthen their efforts to gain control of the last remaining Winchester heir.
A shocking change in the faction's leadership sends Emily and Chevalier to Council City. She instantly begins to feel restrained and confined, and fights back in the only way she knows how. Knowing her time there is limited, Chevalier and Kyle try to figure out how to make her feel welcome and how to keep her in the home city of the Equites.
When Emily is assigned a task within Council City, she finally begins to settle down and realizes that her life with the heku doesn't have to be bad. She manages to find friends, but Chevalier is uneasy with the new relationships.
